Services
What we do, and what it costs.
Five services. Each one has a fee range on this page, before you have given us your name. Most families use two or three.
The five

Fit
Who we are good for.
Households with roughly $500,000 to $5,000,000 in investable assets, usually one or two earners in tech, medicine or a professional practice, usually within fifteen years of a retirement date. Most are between 45 and 65. Several are younger with a large block of company stock and a tax problem they can feel coming.
We are not a good fit if you want someone to beat the market, if you want to trade, or if you want a plan without a meeting. We are also not the cheapest option for a simple situation; a one time plan from an hourly planner may serve you better, and we will say so in the intro.
Investment management is only offered to planning clients. We do not run money for people whose plan we have not written, because the portfolio is the last decision in a plan, not the first.
How they combine
Planning first. Everything else plugs in.
Retirement planning is the base. Tax planning and estate coordination are included in it for most households, because a retirement plan that ignores taxes or beneficiary forms is not finished. Equity compensation is a separate engagement for people who need it, and it usually runs for a year or two until the concentration is down to a number everyone can sleep with.
If you want a single number: a typical household with a retirement plan and a managed $1.2M portfolio pays about $15,900 a year, all in, with no commissions anywhere. The pricing page shows the working, and the process page shows the four meetings that get you there.
