What people say after meeting four.
The first advisor gave us a binder. These two gave us a page and a date. We retired on the date.
I had four years of RSUs sitting in one stock because I was scared of the tax. Daniel showed me the actual number. It was smaller than the fear.
I asked what they made on the funds. Nothing. I asked twice. Still nothing. That is why we moved.
Grace found that my IRA still named my ex-husband. Twelve years after the divorce. Nobody else had ever looked.
The October meeting paid for the year. We converted $80,000 to Roth in a year I had no idea was a low income year.
My wife and I disagreed about when to stop for three years. The Model meeting ended the argument in an hour, because we could both see it.
The tender offer came on a Tuesday. By Thursday I had a one page answer on how many shares to sell and what the tax would be. My coworkers were still reading the FAQ.
Our fee in dollars is printed on every report. I did not know that was allowed.
I emailed on a Sunday night in a panic about a market drop. Monday morning the reply was two sentences and a page number from my own plan. I did not sell.
Testimonial disclosure
Read this with the reviews.
Every review on this page is a placeholder written for a demo website. The people named do not exist and no client of any firm wrote these words. The 4.9 average is a placeholder figure for the same reason.
A real registered adviser publishing client testimonials would state, next to each one, whether the person is a current client, whether they received any compensation for the statement, and whether any material conflict of interest exists. The adviser would also keep records supporting every statement and would not cherry pick: a page of only positive reviews needs to say how reviews were selected. That disclosure text would appear here, reviewed by compliance counsel. For how the firm is paid and the rest of the regulatory language, see the disclosures.
